『Spotlight』プロジェクトの第2号へようこそ！今回の特集はアーティスト『NA-3LDK』です。それでは始めましょう！どこで生まれましたか？そして、今はどこに住んでいますか？10代の頃の生活や、アートとの出会いについて少し教えてください。」。
Welcome to the 2nd issue of our "Spotlight" project! This edition features the artist "NA-3LDK". Let's get started! Where were you born? And where do you live now? Talk a little about your life as a teenager and how you were introduced to the arts.
NA-3LDK:
私は日本列島を構成する島の一つ〝四国〟の香川県で生まれました。今は東京に住んでいます。10代の頃の生活は、学校が終わったら、自宅にピアノの先生が来ていて姉と順番に交代でレッスンを受けていました。それと並行して、絵画教室にも通っていました。ただ、ピアノの先生が怖くてレッスンを徐々に受けなくなり、姉だけが長く続けて今では近所の子供達にピアノを教えていますね。僕はピアノをやらなくなり、絵画教室にしばらく通ってましたが、家の引越しや環境の変化で次第に絵画教室も行かなくなりました。でも、ピアノレッスンや絵画教室は辞めてしまいましたが、その頃の経験が今に繋がってるように思います。
I was born in Kagawa Prefecture in Shikoku, one of the islands that make up the Japanese archipelago. I currently live in Tokyo. When I was a teenager, after school, my piano teacher would come to our house and I would take turns taking lessons with my sister. At the same time, I also attended art classes. However, I was scared of the piano teacher, so I gradually stopped taking lessons, and only my sister continued, and now she teaches piano to children in the neighborhood. I stopped playing piano and attended art classes for a while, but I gradually stopped going to art classes due to moving house and changes in my environment. Although I quit piano lessons and art classes, I feel that my experiences at that time are connected to my present.
Damon:
あなたの街にはどんな特別な魅力がありますか？逆に、この街にいて不便に感じることや、やりづらいと感じることはありますか？
What is unique or special about your city? What are some things about your city that hold you back?
NA-3LDK:
東京は文化と歴史が豊かで、古い神社や寺院が街の中に溶け込んでいるところが魅力的です。また、最先端のテクノロジーやファッションが集まるエリアも多く、渋谷や新宿、銀座などでは常に新しいトレンドを感じることができます。食文化に関しては非常に多種多様で世界各国の美味しい料理を楽しめるのが東京と言う街の魅力の1つかも知れません。不便に感じる事は、ラッシュアワーの電車の混雑や交通渋滞などがありかなり過酷な状況だと言えます。そして、家賃が非常に高く住む場所を選ぶ際に経済的な制約を感じます。都心部になると活気に溢れ静かな場所や落ち着いた場所が少ないと言った点も問題だと感じでます。
Tokyo is rich in culture and history, and the old shrines and temples blend into the city, which is attractive. There are also many areas where cutting-edge technology and fashion are gathered, and you can always feel new trends in Shibuya, Shinjuku, Ginza, and other areas. When it comes to food culture, it is very diverse, and you can enjoy delicious food from all over the world, which may be one of the attractions of the city of Tokyo. One inconvenience is the crowded trains and traffic jams during rush hour, which can be quite harsh. Also, rent is very high, so you feel financially restricted when choosing a place to live. I also feel that the problem is that the city center is full of energy and there are few quiet and calm places.
Damon:
あなたの街や環境は、どのようにあなたのアートスタイルに影響を与えていますか？
How does your city and environment influence your artistic style?
NA-3LDK:
私が住んでる街だけでは無くて、日本のどんな場所でも見方を変えると魅力的な風景になります。例えば、曲を作った時にアートワークが必要になってきますが、頭の中にキャンバスをイメージして街中をみてみると、角度によってはどんな場所でも魅力的な顔を見せる時があり、輝いてみえる瞬間があります。
Not only in the city I live in, but in any place in Japan, if you change the way you look at it, it will become an attractive landscape. For example, when I write a song, I need artwork, so if I look around the city with a canvas in my mind, any place will have an attractive face depending on the angle, and there will be a moment when it looks shining.
Damon:
あなたの作品は、どのようにして周りの都市環境に貢献したり、コメントを残したりしていると感じますか？
In what ways do you feel your art contributes to or comments on the urban landscape around you?
NA-3LDK:
私が作っている音楽の中には自然音や環境音を取り入れた作品が数多くあります。そう言ったオーガニックな音楽は都市生活のストレスを和らげ聞く人に安らぎを与えることができます。例えば、街の騒音から逃れる為の静かな音楽やリラックスできるサウンドを目指して周りの都市環境で生活する人々に貢献したいと考えてます。そして、Lofiのビートやメロディは、ゆったりとしたテンポで構成されており、時間の流れや日常の一コマを感じさせます。このことは、忙しさの中で忘れがちな「今」を大切にすることを促すメッセージやコメントとして残したりしてるのではないかと解釈できます。
Many of the music I create incorporate natural and environmental sounds. Such organic music can ease the stress of city life and give listeners a sense of peace. For example, I want to contribute to people living in urban environments by creating quiet music and relaxing sounds to escape the noise of the city. Lofi beats and melodies are composed of a slow tempo, giving a sense of the flow of time and a moment of everyday life. This can be interpreted as a message or comment that encourages us to cherish the "now," which we tend to forget in our busy lives.
Damon:
作品に表現している環境問題や社会的テーマがあれば、それについて教えてください。
Are there any environmental or societal themes you feel passionate about that come through in your art?
NA-3LDK:
私が制作しているLofi音楽は、孤独感や内面の葛藤を表現することが多く、その中でリスナーが共感したり、つながりを感じたりすることを重視しています。これにより、現代社会における孤立感や人間関係の希薄さを反映しています。また、一部のLofiトラックでは、自然音や環境音が使われ、自然との調和をテーマにしたものがあります。これにより、環境問題や持続可能性についての意識を高める意図が感じられます。そして、Lofiの穏やかなサウンドは、リスナーにリラックスや瞑想を促し、ストレスの軽減や心の平穏を求める意図があります。これは、心の健康やメンタルヘルスといった社会的なテーマに関連しています。
The Lofi music I create often expresses feelings of loneliness and inner conflict, and I place emphasis on making listeners empathize and feel connected to it. This reflects the sense of isolation and lack of human relationships in modern society. Some Lofi tracks also use natural and environmental sounds, and have a theme of harmony with nature. This gives the impression of raising awareness about environmental issues and sustainability. And the calm sounds of Lofi encourage listeners to relax and meditate, with the intention of reducing stress and seeking peace of mind. This is related to social themes such as mental health and wellness.

あなたの音楽を通じて、世界にどんなメッセージを伝えたいですか？また、どのような存在として記憶に残りたいですか？
What do you wish to communicate to the world through your music? Who would you like to be remembered as?
NA-3LDK:
音楽を通して伝えたいメッセージは、「心の安らぎとリラックスの重要性」です。現代社会は常に忙しく、ストレスや不安を感じることが多いですが、音楽を通じて一瞬の静けさや安心感を提供したいと思っています。私の音楽を聴くことで、他者との共感や理解を深めるきっかけになれば嬉しいです。最終的には、音楽を通じて人々が一時的な逃避や心の安らぎを見つけることができるよう、創作を続けていきたいと思っています。そして、リスナーに「心地よい空間」を提供する存在として残りたいです。音楽は感情を呼び起こし、日常の喧騒から一歩引いてリラックスしたり、創造的な瞬間を感じたりする手助けができる力を持っています。音楽を通じて、自分の一部が他者の心に届き、少しでもリスナーの日常を豊かにできたら、それが一番の理想です。
The message I want to convey through music is the importance of peace of mind and relaxation. Modern society is always busy, and we often feel stressed and anxious, but I want to provide a moment of calm and security through music. I hope that listening to my music will encourage people to empathize with and understand others. Ultimately, I want to continue creating so that people can find temporary escape and peace of mind through music. And I want to remain a presence that provides a "comfortable space" for listeners. Music has the power to evoke emotions and help you take a step back from the hustle and bustle of everyday life to relax and feel a creative moment. If I can reach the hearts of others through music and enrich the daily lives of listeners even a little, that would be the best ideal.
